Singer Mónica Coronado from Barcelona and gipsy-flamenco guitarist Manito have put together a concert program with songs from Spain and South America. They give a gripping musical performance filled with feeling.
Mónica accompanies herself on guitar. In her pure and clear voice she sings stories, collected during her life as a musician on the road. Her optimistic music undulates, warm and rhythmically. She takes love, battle and misunderstandings and wraps them in a warm blanket with her voice. Mónica finds het inspiration in flamenco, jazz, pop en latin. Manito plays Spanish guitar with heartfelt passion. He sees the guitar as an extension of his soul. Manito plays, as he calls it ‘the way the wind blows and the stars shine´, intuitively and rich in styles and influences.
